It’s non-existent in the engineering org (~200 people). It’s possible there are some that are mixed but none that I know of. I’ve been here > 5 years.
The filipinos I encountered are always in the helpdesk type positions. They always instantly recognize me as a filipino and start talking to me in Tagalog but it’s sad that I often don’t see them very long since helpdesk positions are typically contractors.

Additionally, I find that if filipinos dont go down the medical route, they mostly end up in the creative world instead (dancing, photography… etc). Nothing wrong with this. Just odd I dont see many in corporate roles.
Yes. I am in management consulting (software). But only a handful that I see btwn the organization I am at and the current client I end up working on.
When I do I meet them - it’s either very friendly or mean girl / maarte style with them.

Also in the west, just not seeing many filipinos go the corporate route. I tried to create a filipino student outreach program for filipinos studying at university in the UK, and none of them were doing degrees that naturally led them into corporate.
I’m in IT senior leadership at a Fortune 10 company. I’m mixed race (born and raised in the US) and don’t speak Tagalog.
We have a few Filipino SWEs. We also have an office in Manila that’s dedicated to customer service/help desk.
I only know of two Filipinos who worked in hardware / product development as engineers. The rest I’ve seen were technicians or production associates.
I just started at Apple but I really think I’m the only Filipino hardware engineer in this entire org…
