AI might be a cool tool, but it’s not the artist. Good design is more than just pixels, it’s storytelling, experience, and intuition. And last I checked, AI still doesn’t "vibe check" well. 😎

Exactly .. literally just a tool. Because after you generate the pixels you’re going to need to know what to do with them and marry them with text and composition

It's definitely been improving over the last few months, but I think we're still going to be employed for the foreseeable future. It can be a great tool, I just think there will always be a need for human oversight and creativity.

Is there something new? I haven’t seen anything that looked that great yet? I do foresee consumer demand coming in to save whatever jobs might be taken. It was one of the craft stores that was selling AI gen images and that didn’t exactly go over well.

*Ohio* I stepped into a role as Software Engineer (.Net) with no experience at $70k. Six months ago I had brought up the fact I was being underpaid for the job I was doing with now 3 years of experience being the only Engineer on the team and my manager agreed giving me an increase to $90k. My manager is wanting to get me some help and posted a new role modeled after me (3 yrs exp) w/ salary between $88k-$126k. How should I approach my manager about it without looking incredibly greedy?
