After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Mentor
Technically you fall into that range. And your manager might consider you a lower, mid-level. Which means they think you have a lot of room to grow into your role. If they put you at the top of the pay scale, they theoretically couldn’t give you raises without a promotion that they might feel you aren’t ready for. If you feel comfortable enough with your manager just ask them about it. Approach it from the intention of learning what you can do to improve, not a place of accusation.
But having said that, this is a lesson in negotiation, you can negotiate raises and promotions too! Most people don’t realize that. Also the best way to quickly increase comp is not loyalty, it’s job hopping. You’ve been there for three years, early in your career it’s better to get some variety in your experience.
Yea I understand that I fall within that range I was just a little caught off guard as we’ve interviewed and turned down several folks for being over qualified. The 3 years experience is a “preferred” qualification. The idea was to hire in someone a little newer that I could essentially mentor so I wouldn’t expect that individual to make significantly more than me.
I’ve considered job hopping for that reason but I’m self taught in my skills and really have no baseline with others in the same profession. I’m hesitant in doing so for that reason, if I’m hired in with the expectation of having 3 years experience I’d hate to then be let go because I’m behind their expectations.
