What are your favorite suppliments to give students for lessons covering Civil Rights?

You just finished teaching a skill / topic in your lesson. Children are now off to work on that skill independently: who are you targeting first to support, your students in the red or your students in the yellow?

I would greatly appreciate some fun/engaging/stimulating lesson plan ideas for high school students.

I generally have a few lessons in which I can use Pixar shorts to teach students how to identify and discuss literary signposts, how to identify and explain the development of theme, character traits, and other narrative elements. What are some of your favorite shorts? I am trying to incorporate activities where my students get to choose their own clips for independent practice with these skills and need a variety to draw from.

Just had my discovery flight and I’ve been wanting to go for my PPL for a while, just not sure I can justify the 15k or so investment in my current financial situation. Would it be really bad to spread my lesson over a period of a few years?

I am pretty sure I fell victim to a scam. I am really embarrassed that I paid money to a company thinking it was a legit deal and am now finding out it was not. I should have known better but pushed aside my instincts and my training because I was stressed about money and thought this would help. Stupid lesson to learn.
