The longest training I have ever received at a job was for 4X 4-hour training shifts at a fast food restaurant when it was my first job. After that, training has usually been one shift. Sometimes training is just a grumpy manager spending 20 minutes showing us what to do and then telling us to figure it out.

Yup, I had both styles of trainings and I like when I have the extensive training that last for about two weeks. That’s when I know that I am prepared to do my job correctly. The short trainings never work for me.
I think a lot of jobs do that these days. They'll have you watch a couple of videos about ethics but then you're basically thrown on the floor to figure it out. I don't mind because that's the way I learned best.

I don’t mind either but sometimes it not the best. I’m a fast learning so I can catch on pretty fast. I now some people it’s hard for them because it’s a different approach to training.
Most I've worked for give little to no training!

Yea, I had some jobs that barely had training. That taught me I can learn fast in any environment that I am in. I prefer an in depth training with videos and demonstrations because I am a visual learner.
