Hope you are doing well, I need valuable suggestion on few of my queries.
I had joined KPMG(KGS) on April 2022, during the interview i have been told that i would be working on Java Backend Development as my background belongs to same technology and my interview was also happened on Java/Spring/Microservices; but they put me on Low-Code / No code Platform and its totally tool based work. Utilization.. keep it to minimum required... sell and staff your CF members on project and pick up partner’s Alcohol tabs in the name of business meeting
Sm promotions require a business case and strong PP support. Metrics matter - utilization +sales are important sprinkled with people stuff and quality but if you have no business case for growth then it’s a non starter.
Metrics matter for only a portion of it, maybe more during promotion year.
Like SM1 said, your business case matter and the question you want to answer to yourself is what skills / talent I have that I shouldn’t get replaced by my peers? Could be your sales skill, charisma or people development or delivery. In any case, one of those shouldn’t be just like everybody else, but instead stands out from others
