Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

Have interviews set up at FAANG co and getting good signals, for a position that was posted widely (all across US) but not remote. Haven’t broached the subject of location yet. Has anyone dealt with a lack of praise from attorneys? I'm not someone who needs to hear "good job" all the time, but we just got a huge deal closed that I worked really hard on and had a lot of overtime. Recently, a SaaS client (1k employees) that hired my old consulting firm reached out to me about a job opening - Lead BA working primarily to implement their benefit admin system for insurance companies.
