Get the first. If the second comes, you can always jump ship.

Second this. May bother someone, but it’s just business.
Everyone gets it: gotta take care of yourself first.
Stick it out for job 2 but try and see if you can speed them along if you do get an offer from 1
I wouldn’t turn down Job 1, but if you get an offer from them, you can let Job 2 know you have one, and they may send you an offer. If not you can then accept Job 1.
If you are managing, I would suggest holding out for THE job. This will enable you to secure a job in which you will want to stay and grow.
accept the job 1 bird in hand, keep interviewing/dreaming at job 2.
if job 1 pans out, depending on where you are with job 2, you let them know a few days before your start date that you have another offer, where they are in decision process, if you're still in the running and when they plan to decide by if known.
you MAY need to start job 1 and jump but if its one thing we know: if they decide to cut your position in future, they will do it in seconds and not be posting here about it!
