I am looking to identify committed Christians within Deloitte who would be interested in serving on the US board of a global non-profit committed to restoring the lives of those who have been traumatized via human trafficking or gender-based violence in SE Asia. Deloitte has been instrumental in partnering with Hagar International via pro-bono consulting and we would love to leverage this partnership on our US board.

Churches are def not silent. I don’t care what color your skin is.... we all bleed and gasp for air the same way. We all are humans who feel pain and hurt. We all need to unite and end the brutality by those who are in authority.
My prayer is we see humans as humans ... and not by the color of their skin.
Yeah the church is quite vocal for what I read today.

Ok that’s good to know.
I am not saying that ALL churches are silent. My Pastor and church have been quite vocal for a while. I was saying, the overall pattern is that the church usually speaks louder on other issues and less about police brutality on black Americans.
I feel like a lot of churches are vocally internally but as a collective we stay silent, and it’s not okay. A lot of Christians (my parents included) are silent because somehow supporting black lives became a Democrat vs Republican issue, and people want to stay as far away from the Democrats’ cause as possible. To the point where they oppose EVERYTHING they do and say.
It’s quite unfortunate because Christians, of course, are called to love one another and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement is exactly what we’re called to do.
We need to be more vocal and supportive collectively.
Highly recommend that you read “The Color of Compromise” which talks about the church’s role in contributing and complying with slavery and the racism in America.
My church is definitely not silent, but I recognize that I attend a multicultural church that values all groups having their voices amplified.
The root of all the problems we are seeing is sin and the turning away from God. Churches have been preaching about SIN and the Good News for centuries but no one wants to feel convicted for their OWN sins rather how these cops will be punished for their sins. God is the ultimate judge and He looks at the heart and not so much obsessing over skin color. Depending on how we collectively stand and position ourselves, the church may be aligned with Republicans or #ALLLIVESMATTER which is seen as anti-#BLM. We are to be set apart from all the foolishness. It’s crazy how the world is divided - either dem or rep, #alllivesmatter vs #blm... the enemy is busy but so is the LIVING GOD.
