Is she speaking in tongues? If so, that’s only edifying to that individual and not to those around you. The Bible speaks against tongues in public unless it’s being interpreted. It’s important to speak in tongues as I believe it creates alignment with God but it should be done privately if no one else understands. I think that’s fair even if she just speaking in a native tongue. If she wants the family to do this prayer together, it’s important everyone can participate and be united
Do you still live at home?
Trying to understand how someone with a consulting job is still doing family prayers with their parents every morning and evening.
It’s probably time to take some ownership of your life and your time and start setting boundaries.
If you can’t even understand most of what your mother is saying, then it’s really just for her own edification - which makes it a little odd that she’s using family time to do it. My guess is that you’re probably just playing along to be polite/avoid conflict.
You might suggest that group prayer time should include prayers that everyone else can understand, otherwise your mother could just pray directly to God since He’s the only one who can understand her. And while I respect people who are committed to prayer, I do wonder about people who turn prayer into a big production like that multiple times a day. Did God not hear you the first time? Do you not have faith that He will act unless you constantly remind Him? I tend to talk to Him all throughout the day as if He were a friend who is always with me…rather than as some big magical entity that requires pomp and circumstance.
I don’t understand praying in group in public and how much can be said. When I speak to God I want it to be private and only God hear me. We get deep
