The justification/rationalization of the Reddit short attacks as a “rebellion of retail” is a joke. It is extreme late cycle market manipulative behavior and a symptom of massive amounts of misallocated liquidity. NOT a healthy sign.

Another example of what happens when extreme supply inelasticity (in this instance due to high short interest/low float) meets artificial, value-insensitive demand.

Futures are down more than 1% and the close + AH was pretty negative. It’s also worrisome that the VIX didn’t fall more during the day - in fact, it rose pretty rapidly the last half hour.

The futures can move a good chunk overnight.

My concern is that there’s a widespread review of risk, exposures, and leverage among large funds and brokers.

I mean, that’s not a good gauge. The last 10 years they’ve been near all time highs. I wouldn’t mind a dip either though - I just rolled over my 401k and have about another week until it hits my account.

Hi all, I am a structural engineer looking to pivot to management consulting. I have a PhD in civil engineering and am a licensed PE. Noob question on selling puts- I just sold a weekly put that I WANT to get assigned. The stock fluctuate a few dollars a day so I’m looking for a specific price to own the shares at vs entering a limit order. The stock has already gone below my selected strike price by a 30 cents today but I haven’t been assigned the shares 🤔. Is it only by expiration day or am I missing something?
