Me! My mother was a nurse and she also wanted me to become one. I have always been passionate about art but I guess my mom won.
I wouldn't say I was forced into engineering even though my parents suggested and showed me the benefits of it, and after trying it, I liked it. You can't go wrong with engineering!
I wasn't really forced but it was well respected and I walked to be well respected. And I was not gonna be a lawyer or an engineer.
We're a family of healthcare professionals so I felt like this was the only way to go. I expected to hate it but I'm doing really good so far!
My father didn't really force me. But growing up, he would always tell me that I would thrive in the healthcare industry too. He's a surgeon and my mom is a nurse.
It runs in the family, I would say. I didn't really have a choice at that point as I wasn't sure about what I course I should take. It kind of just fell on my lap.
