Whether or not you feel fairly compensated is up to you, what can you get if you hop to other companies?
That being said, I’m impressed and surprised your company did somewhat right by you because VERY FEW companies would give someone what amounts to around a 70% raise. They could’ve easily given you 20-30% and keep it moving
It's generally easier to get a big salary bump when joining a company vs. through promotions.
Perhaps consider the salary that you want 2-3 years from now versus what those new folks will be making 2-3 years from now and determine if it's worth advocating for yourself in role, jumping to a different team, or joining another company.

They recognize your skills and knowledge to give you such a big bump. The question about Fairly compensated would depend on what is the market rate for your job
I think they match you to the market but is still a little low because of your experience. The new people coming in at 60k that is very low for entry so in general the company doesn’t pay what is fair
At least they realized they needed to up their game. Also, they did bring you up a very respectable level. I met a man a few years ago working in industrial maintenance. He had been in the same job for over 20 yrs, and he was about 25 k per year under normal scale. It just happens. I think you need to keep abreast of fair market value conditions and adjust your career accordingly.
I feel this.
We hired someone that is the husband of one of the VP's for the same money I make and he can't even manage his tasks without help.
He either makes $1000 less than me or $9k more and it eats my soul when I haven't had a raise in 2 years.
