Check out Lynda courses online. When you’re solid on your all foundations it should help build the confidence needed for AD role. Also definitely seek out a mentor at work: figure out what’s lacking between your current responsibilities that would qualify you for AD and make a plan for how to gain that experience. That could be more hard skills gained from Lynda or soft skills that someone who’s been there can guide you in. Good luck!
