Behind every STEM professional is someone who once wondered, “Am I smart enough for this?”
Imposter syndrome doesn’t disappear with titles or years of experience.
It just gets quieter — but it’s still there.
Growth in STEM often means growing through self-doubt.
Have you ever questioned yourself on this journey?

Everyone does at some point. It's just part of being an adult and finding yourself thrust into unfamiliar circumstances - getting a new job, buying a house for the first time, having a kid. You don't feel prepared for any of it, but you have no choice but to figure it out, so you do.

If you don't have some self doubts or flashes of imposter syndrome you're probably just not a thoughtful person. There are times when I'll look at something complicated I'm dealing with, and I'll wonder why I'm in the position I'm in. I consciously remind myself that I know what I'm doing, and I'm qualified for my job, but those little moments of doubt will pop up again at some point, I'm sure.

Every day I do that, and I feel like I don't know anything. But somehow, I am still in my industry, interviewing for other roles and still managing to get those.

Yeah I’m trying to make a leap to different career but I am having a bit of imposter syndrome along with I’m too old to change syndrome.

I’m to the point in life where if I could get a job handing out colored golf balls and putters to kids and rest my brain…

I jad an interview on 2nd August, 2022 and on 17th August, 2022. I received an email stating that interviewer is moving up your profile and contact a person email id for further information.
Since that day I haven't heard anything from the HR. I had called HR several times but no response from calls as well as mails too.
Anyone also faced this situation?
Please suggest me what to do as I have my last day in existing company nearby in 20 days

Hi. I’m relatively new to recruiting and my role is primarily in supporting recruiters. I’ve noticed that even when I include a specific request or call to action, that my emails receive a response less than 50% of the time. Is this lack of responsiveness indicative of company culture or more about the culture of recruiting, since they receive so many emails? Thoughts? I’ve not experienced this rate of responsiveness in any organization I’ve worked for. I am beginning to take it personally.

I am seeking new employment, I was recently laid off due to lack of work. I would very much appreciate any leads. I have a Bs in Construction Management and over 15 years experience with Revit and AutoCAD and 7 years of plumbing design. I have solid references and impeccable work ethic. I truly enjoy what I do. What you should do when dealing with a very toxic worker that keep on sending passive aggressive messages to you as well as in group chat and email.
Things like when you answer his question he respond: I know that
Or when he keeps on saying my change requests were just minor in group meeting but actually not.
And keep on saying how hard he works when he clearly wasn’t and already underperformed compared to an intern level.

How to not let this toxic co-worker not poison me any further?
