If I was a second or third choice candidate for a role, and ultimately got an offer, is it fair game to inquire with the recruiter as to why the initial candidates declined? And should this fact weigh into my decision process?

I have got an offer from Accenture for Level8. I was 60% matching for the profile and got selected through saying there no project currently for this role, we are taking in advance. I doubt if they would send me out after project allocation done saying profile not matching. Want to know is there job security in Accenture provided I can learn and upskill the remaining 40% in 3 months time.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Today I just signed an offer with a pay increase of 84%. It came after 4 months of job hunt, getting offers and being rescinded, and even 3 companies that rescinded after I signed. Anxiety hit, i cried, lost sleep, dealt with internal struggles, inferiority complexes when I saw peers moving to their second jobs after a mbb consulting / banking role, but ultimately I am so glad that I did not give up on myself. I still have to worry about the visa part, but for now lm gonna relax for the weekend

After trying to find an in-house job since July, I finally have an offer at a company that I really like. Total comp is around $20-25k off from where I want to be. Equity comp may be the only way to bridge the gap but they said they don’t normally include equity comp at the corporate counsel level, which is odd. I have found that most companies do. I am currently a “Director, Corporate Legal”, interviewing for a “Senior Corporate Counsel” role at a company with similar market cap, legal department structure, and that would have same level of individual responsibility. How do I get signatories to fill in their company name correctly on a DocuSign PowerForm NDA?
