I left IB a year ago as an Associate to do Corp Dev. Unfortunately it’s turned out to be a total bust: the company “paused” all M&A activity about 6 months ago and I’ve just been doing BS Strategy / Ops work since then. I’m deciding if I want to go back to IB, or try for a better Corp Dev role. In general, do you guys think that Corp Dev roles are kinda bullshit, or are there good Corp Dev roles out there? I met with the person who will be leading NA sales, and do not think hes the right person for the job. Not someone I think I can learn much from.

Interviewing for 4ish months now for a FED role. Always make it 2-3 rounds but never ending in an offer. I have a BFA in Web Design, but I wonder if it's worth returning to school for a Master's in Computer Science. I'm leery on bootcamps because they don't teach real world/practical use cases, at least the ones I've heard about. The firsthand(?) experience I have w/ a bootcamp grad, claims to be full stack but didn't know how to troubleshoot HTML/CSS, nor knew how to use Dev Tools/Inspector.
