So helpful thanks bud….

Thank you Gerry!

Guys pls advise me, urgent query

I applied to Amazon job in LinkedIn . Got a mail to complete a Hacker Earth test from Amazon . But i felt not prepared and didn't even try it thinking i might fail and they might not shortlist me the next time when i apply again after preparing .
Do they track any data like who didn't attend the test so they can ignore them next time? Or if i prepare good enough and reapply again after 3 to 4 months would this cause any issue?

Find coworkers addresses online and go knock on their doors and introduce yourself
Meet-ups!
Make the effort others are making and go into the office.
Simple really, stop working fully remote and put some actual effort and shoe leather into the game and get into an office or other work appropriate location and actually meet people.
You can't network effectively from home. Even people I've had great online working relationships with for years became much more fruitful after meeting up face to face for coffee after COVID allowed us to travel again.
Doing work remotely is possible but building a career in consulting isn't - you have to decide how much you want the network vs how much effort that will be on your part.
I don't bother with networking calls from people who don't meet me face to face, I go into the office twice a week, client twice a week and one day at home or elsewhere. If you can't find a way to actually meet me face to face when I'm in a Deloitte office loads of time then I know you aren't in the slightest bit interested in networking other than to include it in your year end conversations
Okkk zoomer
IBM1 and D1 clearly have a hard time with reading comprehension
Any recommendations for those who are way away (like plane flight) from the nearest office? I was hired remotely and was considering moving closer to an office, but they're all in VHCOL places and I'm waiting until the economy's better
I meant networking for a new job
You can join professional organizations based on your specific skill set and go to their events or go to get a certification in person where you’ll meet people.
It’s like asking how to get rich without working
Join clubs, organizations, associations, or groups in the area that you are interested in. Attend workshops and events. Join online groups. Take a continuing education course or Adult ed course. Also check out the Meet Up Group (meetup.com) in your city. They have lots of groups or you can start a group.
Only networking you can when working remote is fixing up your wifi or setting up a LAN connection. Nothing more. You need to get back to the office. Thats where the real magic happens
