Burnout in retail and hospitality isn’t laziness, it’s unpredictable schedules, understaffing, and low pay. Too often it’s blamed on us instead of the system.
How can companies actually support their teams fairly?

This is very true. Most of my burnout comes from my managers putting too much work on me, and them not hiring enough people to do the amount of work that needs to be done on a daily basis.

I agree. When teams are understaffed, the extra work always falls on the same people. Proper staffing and realistic expectations would make a huge difference.

This is a statement and it needs to be seen by anybody that works in retail. Sometimes, I feel lazy when I work in retail but after reading this statement I believe it’s because my company is under staffed. That’s a major deal in feeling like you don’t want to do the work.

Totally get that feeling. When a team is understaffed, the workload piles up and it’s exhausting for anyone that’s not laziness, it’s burnout. Most people actually want to do a good job, but without enough support or coverage, it just becomes overwhelming. Companies really need to see how staffing levels directly affect morale and performance.

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. He’s leaning transactional, but also open to litigation. Any insights/advice on these firms in the TX market? Any to avoid?

Have an internship next summer in a vertical I don’t want to work in and is completely unrelated to where I want to end up. However the firm is strong in PE. To try and break into that side after my internship at the same company, would it be more beneficial to take on a (very small boutique) PE internship or an IB internship this fall?

Any SAP analytics cloud developer here? Quick query, client wants a column root causes ..now this column is not available in S/4..now the S/4 team is not cooperative enough.

My leads suggested SAC has comments option. However comments are not going to help users either. Because it will not show graphically which root causes contribute the most.

So my question is now, does SAC have an in built excel option which would allow users to enter root causes across materials and then SAC refresh this

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.
