I managed to secure an interview for JP Morgan Chase. This is for Asset & Wealth Management Global Private Bank Analyst program 2023. I ask my recruiter and he revealed me some info. This is a single interview session of 2 hours before getting any offer. I will face 5 interviewers. This will be all behavioral. For people who got into JP Morgan Chase, do you have any tip for me to pass this interview for this entry level role? JPMorgan Chase

I do not recommend Gamma. I am an SDS at Gamma and the org and leadership is a mess! Traditional org does not respect Gamma even a little (see other posts in Fishbowl).
And even within Gamma, the leadership has no clue how to run the org. They keep recalibrating every few months. The way P/PLs review varies a lot across the org and is completely dependent on their emotions and feelings. It's almost never dependent on your true performance. I have experienced this myself as well as heard many folks experience the same.
There is no mentorship for new folks. You will be extremely lucky if you found someone willing to mentor you and help you navigate the org. And if you don't find an OPPL group that helps you navigate, you are doomed to fail! And you have no say in who you get staffed with initially. One would say that the traditional org is very similar. But the probability that you will find someone who offers that mentorship at Gamma is very low. Atleast in the traditional org there are a significant bunch of P/PLs who invest time to mentor.
And there are a few P/PL part of the CDC who play a lot of politics. I joined Gamma from another consulting firm and am now looking to move to start up/ tech. Also if you do a quick LinkedIn search, there is massive attrition.
Also, I think they are low balling you. A C masters with 3 years of exp at Deloitte can potentially be an SDS. I suggest doing a quick LinkedIn search.
I can understand BCG4 experience, if you’re expecting something mature with well established processes. Gamma is not this place, it’s a fast growing startup with with the expected rough edges.
That said, I’m an SDS and I’m having a great time. Attrition is within expectation - everyone I deem “BCG material" from my starting class is still here.
If you want the role then take it, there is early promotion consideration for new hires to address misclassification, so if you’ve got the chops you’ll get to SDS quickly
I would even say it’s a better idea to be a rockstar DS and be early promoted then a mediocre SDS. Adapting to BCG takes time and you may not want to do it while handling the extra pressure .
OP not much advice but did you have a STEM UG? I have a bachelors in information systems and am trying to figure out next steps after D. Current client boss has PHD (too much for me) and most of my coworkers have bachelors or MS in math/stats/compsci.
I’m the only person with a non engineer/math degree and am trying to figure out how to not get stuck, although I’m still learning a ton from my projects.
BCG does require a masters in DS/math/stats to be considered for their DS roles (few exceptions maybe). if you want to progress in this field I firmly believe a masters is not a pre requisite. plenty of ways to self learn and gain practical experience.
BCG4, in terms of quality is work and type of projects, how has your experience been? apart from the politics and respect (which I'm not discounting as a big factor), do you feel you are learning in the job and pushing your boundaries? does gamma do interesting machine learning work?
thank you for your insight. I'm looking to progress learning wise and am willing to deal with politics (I say this now but wait till I face the BCG version of politics). my pain point right now is I'm not being challenged. I feel I'm the smartest person in the room and career wise I don't think it's the right place for me right now
