It’s the same everywhere. And they charge you an arm and a leg for the additional 1.5 hrs aftercare

Is that the same time school gets out?
Yeah but can be more challenging since camps can be further away and transportation back at the end of day isn’t often offered if you do aftercare.
I just tried a camp that runs from 9-3 for two weeks. Just to see if I could do it while working full time. It was a total grind. Plus it involved packing lunch and camp gear and walking 20 minutes each way in the heat. When I picked my kid up I still had work to do so had to stuff him in front of the TV for 2 hours. It was worth it for a short while, because it was a nature camp, but don’t think I could have handled more than 2 weeks without my work suffering. I did notice lots of non parental caregivers picking kids up, so I guess that’s how it goes. If you want to give your kid a traditional camp experience, and you work full time too, you have to hire help, too.
