It’s Friday, go outside
You’re talking about high school dawg who cares
I like money
For me it was probably a maturity thing. It just didn’t really care to apply myself in HS.
school isn’t that interesting or challenging or rewarding to many people
you can choose what career or craft you pursue.
I mean like bad students, not people who struggled for financial reasons
Reality sets in. And some people don’t care about grades but care about being paid
OP, I was thinking about this too recently. I was a real try hard in high school. Got good grade, had multiple jobs, while playing a sport and in band. Kinda funny to think there are people who did the bare minimum only to end up in the same spot as me. I sometimes wonder if I could have gone into something else or if I just tried too hard.
I’m one of these people. HS was just really boring and easy, full of unnecessary and unrewarding tasks, and mostly run by unintelligent, incompetent, kind of stunted and uninspiring people. Plus, it’s not like I was getting paid for my efforts, so why apply myself?
Why should anyone work so hard from the start? HS does not matter. I wound up in the same place or better than everyone who was a try-hard in their youth but just had more fun along the way.
All about load management, work hard when it matters, slack off when you can.
