How hard is the path from lit to GC?
Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

While that'd be nice i feel like it does end up taking longer the more you advance in your career
I agree it should be done quickly, all rounds within a week if possible. But it should never be one interview, too much risk in hiring talent who isn’t a fit.
Agreed. The ideal situation (in my opinion!!) is a recruiter screen, an interview with the hiring manager, and an interview with an additional team member over the course of a week or two
Maybe I’m showing my age here, but was it ever just 1 interview for a job?
I only had 1 interview at multiple jobs in the late 90's/early 2000's. Ever since then it's been increasing.

We have too little revenue and too little margin. 7 interviews for a director level role is the sign of a dying industry.
Part of me doesn’t blame them. The hires mean so much because a mistake means a risk of 10-15% of the total billable hours.
It used to be be 3-5%. And you used to have truly smart decisions makers in advertising. They’re gone now.
7 interviews is nuts. 3-4 (including a recruiter screen) is the sweet spot and already ends up taking a while because people have 0 bandwidth nowadays
You guys are getting interviews
don’t call it an industry
Like everything else, this will never be walked back
