Depends on how much you're paid. Taking US as an example, if you earn $100k per annum, around $75k is the take home i.e. $6.25k monthly $2.5k is the average monthly expenditure. Let's add $500 to it for miscellaneous expenditures over the year.
You will save around $3.25k per month i.e $39k per annum i.e which is around 29lakhs. Let's say you spend a little more and are able to save 25lakhs per year, it will take you 4 years to become a "crorepati".
Considering H1B visa gives you 6 years of time in the USA, it is of course very much feasible.
And i haven't even considered the possibility of switching jobs with a much better compensation or the YoY hikes which will see your salary and hence your savings grow.
Also if we invest that earning in stocks it may get doubled in 6 years times.

I went from Bangalore to New York for 6 years. I was earning between 650k-700k TC including stocks (in hand was around 450k and my yearly expense was less than 50k as I was staying with by siblings.
I saved around 16.5Cr in 6 years. Came back to bangalore when the pandemic hit
I worked as a VP of a Product company

I know a guy with the same exp and everything who works at Apple India now
Yes you become crorepati but for that you will have to sleep on road and eat by begging in foreign countries.... because your entire earning will be vanished if you eat and live the same lifestyle as you do in India
Guess, you’re better off in India.
It will take min 5-6 years if staying alone and living like a miser to save 1 crore.

Yes in 3-4 years if you save aggressively. Also lot of depends on salary offered, people generally goes there and switch organizations to save/earn faster.
Why are we not speaking about the Tax that we will be paying while staying onsite ?
Chief
We are already talking about post tax salary and savings.
One thing i can say it's easier to save more in middle East
20k aed per month
Guys suppose a person got an offer of 100k in Florida
Since Florida is income tax free state and it's comparatively cheaper than many states in the us, the post tax salary would be 78k, that's around 6500 usd per month
and if a guy goes as a bachelor and if he share room with 2 other people then he can easily save 5000-5200 usd per month because the 2 bhk rent in Florida is about 1200-1500 usd and rest expenses are as follows
rent- 500 usd per month per person including all bills
grocery - 100-150 per person
car- you can easily get used car for 2500-3000 usd in usa
insurance of car - 50-100 usd per month
Fuel- 100-150 usd
Other expenses such as eating out, mobile recharge, haircut, party, travelling - 350-500
So approximately 1500 usd per month expenses ( at max) and rest 5000 usd savings
so if you stay there for 6 years then you'll save around 360k usd or 2.5-3 crore.
This is my calculation guys
Do correct it if you find some issue
