H1b/ H4 extensions pending and license is expired! DMV says they don’t renew based on receipt…. What can we do?? It can take months, especially for H4!!

What to do with stocks/crypto accumulated in US, sell them when moving back to home country after completing H1B ? What about taxation when you hold and sell later ?

I am planning to take some time off to wrap up relocation related stuff and manage notice period as well so it would be good to get some insight on timelines. Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Need genuine advise. Got a call from Oasis Resource management pvt ltd. They said that they can help in conducting interviews in canada or UK. Total 5 interviews. They will charge 72k for this and 2k for profile investigation. They claim that under work permit, accomodation, travel cost, meal will be borne by employer for whole work visa tenure along with salary as per profile and market standard.
Are they legit ?
Should i proceed with them ?
Any chance of them being fraud ?

I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension. In that case, after 6 months (180 days i140 rule to avoid employer’s revoke), will I be able to switch employers even though the renewed H1b gonna expire soon at that time?

Meeting with a recruiter at one of the FAANG companies. I won’t be able to move jobs because of H1b /GC at least for the next year. Any idea if I should start off with that or should I just try to understand the work that they have been doing?

When did you know your firm wasn't right for you? I'm not sure if it's just the stress of being a new attorney with a family or if my job isn't the right fit. I work in civil litigation and am consistently below my billables. I can't stay late because my kids need me and I can't work on the weekends because I have to maintain my house and take care of my kids. Can you ask your legal team to follow up with DOL regarding your PERM (9089) status, if dol website is showing that they are processing March 2021 and your case was filed on Feb 2021 ?
