I was there 2 years ago, got another job in a different field and was rejuvenated for a long time. More and more responsibility got put on my lap (with no increase in pay of course) and now I'm burnt out again. Currently job hunting...

I hope your job search leads you to something that truly values your work and gives you that renewed energy again. Wishing you the best, you deserve it!
The sign is when the work stress follows you home in a big way. You're thinking about it all the time, shorter tempered because of the stress, etc. There unfortunately isn't a cure for it, unless quitting is an option for you (it isn't for me) or you're able to get an offer from another company so you can leave without losing your income. That's what I'm focusing on doing right now.

That’s so true, when work stress starts following you home, it really takes a toll. I appreciate you sharing this perspective. It’s not always easy to just walk away, so focusing on finding a better opportunity while staying stable makes a lot of sense. Wishing you the best, hope something better comes your way soon!
I have definitely been there. Started working through it in therapy and realized I was working for a very toxic company. I ended up leaving in January and it was the best decision I ever made.

That takes a lot of self-awareness and courage. I’m really glad therapy helped you see what wasn’t healthy and that you made a choice that’s been better for you. It’s inspiring to hear when someone puts their well-being first, wishing you continued growth and happiness in this new chapter!
I recognized it when split days off, feel like a joke, instead of rejuvenation. When, l enjoy a job, l work hard. My rejuvenation wasn't taken seriously. l missed so many events. I had no proper interactions, working crazy shifts. I realized, that l was only getting worse and worse. So, I would eventually have to quit anyway.

That’s really relatable. Split days off and unpredictable shifts can be exhausting, and it’s hard when your need to recharge isn’t taken seriously. It takes a lot of self-awareness to recognize when something is affecting your well-being and to step away. Glad you put your health and balance first, no job is worth burning yourself out.
