I’m in CPI. WLB is decent - I’ve rarely been beyond 50 hour weeks
Earning potential can be good if you’re utilized but it’s not the same as the PEPI/NACR/TAG model so don’t let those 100% bonus numbers fool you
That said you’ll work with great people and have a ton of ownership of your work which I’ve enjoyed
Team is really hit or miss - if you are staffed and tight with the partner, you will go far (alternative is subpar total comp relative to any other firms). I think general bigger consultancies have more structure and these boutiques are still very much of a figure out as you go type of deal.
At 12k FTEs, I would probably move A&M out of the boutique category.
Something to note for the OP.
Simply put, if you have a skillset that is valuable and create a desirable brand within the firm your utilization will be fine, even in down years.
WLB is very practice, partner and project dependent. I would never recommend come to A&M if they are trying to improve their WLB. We are a service organization that goes above and beyond for our clients.
A&M is not an improved WLB from Accenture Strategy.
Well, it depends on the practice and I’m not familiar with CPI but what I know of A&M doesn’t ring true to this.
Yes as other said forget about the WLB part. I worked ar ACN strategy and Alix (not A&M) but I would not expect there to be better than here. The big 'wlb' improvement it that's it's much less hyerarchical vs ACN and you have more ownership and control of your work.
I left A&M cpi wouldn’t recommend it, but I’ve also heard bad things about ACN strategy so
Pls dont
There have been a lot of folks who have moved from ACN strat to A&M. You should look them up on LinkedIn and reach out.
What’s the comp at manager
SD probably. We aren’t known for competitive base
I was advised by well trusted friends to “run the other way” when A&M reached out to me.
