Best books on leadership and sales skills?
It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

They already let go a handful of our partners about a month ago. Don't know about your area but seems reasonable to think it's an option. And yeah, the guys who were let go made out nicely.
I'm guessing they get bought out?
That's not the whole story though - there are partners they kept around that haven't been selling. It's not a strict math equation.
Seems like it's some combination of sales, salary, and willingness to play nicely within the network.
They get kicked out cause they don't bring in business.. simple business decision. If you ain't adding value whether it's an associate or a partner you gonna be gone.. partners must have been in an extended slump that they just couldn't shake
So what is is based on? If not sales?
