CIPP will really give you the foundational privacy knowledge you will need as a privacy professional, stuff like core privacy principles and details of all privacy laws and key cases in the country of focus (US, EU, etc). It’s a pretty tough exam though, not something you can pass without studying unless you have lots of privacy experience. CIPM is more focused on how to manage a privacy program. Less technical privacy knowledge, more program management business focus. It’s an easier exam and will require less studying. From what I’ve seen, both exams are recognized in the industry about the same. Check the job description of the role(s) you’re looking at to see which ones are mentioned more.

CDPSE is ISACA’s play into the privacy field. IAPP is the main group here, though. CIPP and their portfolio is what I would start with.
