Favorite books on leadership styles and mindset training?

I've been in-house a few years and I have the legal skills needed to do my job down reasonably well. One thing I know I need work on is understanding skills and knowledge of working within the corporate world and skills needed for ascending to leadership roles. This ranks high on the list of "things I think that would be helpful to my practice that is fully not covered in law school." Does anyone have any books/podcasts/general resources that they found helpful in their career?

I work at a preschool that redirects disruptive students by giving them a book to calm down and regroup. Do you think this is a good practice or does it ultimately lead the student to see reading as punishment?

I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. the team gets Ad hoc requests so new items come up after that stand up and SM/ M will ping folks directly. Feeling like I have become an assistant who updates tickets and books meetings..

Best books on leadership and sales skills?

Is serving 1 week notice mean being in bad books of employer? I am just exhausted and feel burnt out from constant weekend work and 15hrs of work daily for months and no resource to help to share the work load due to budget constraints. Finally had to pull the plug and I am so glad i did.But leadership wants 2 to 3 weeks of notice whereas I am serving 1 week only.

The worst thing is being “voluntold”.
Partners : “Hey, how do you feel about volunteering to lead this? I think you would be great “
Me: “I don’t have the bandwidth to lead that event”
Partner : “Let me clarify, you are leading this event, please book a meeting on my calendar.”

Interviewed with EJ, RJ, and Stifel as a new advisor. which to pick? EJ offering way more base up front with small goodknight to start. RJ’s fancy AMP training program is just slap a yellow pages down and start dialing with little to no practice building training. Stifel seems similar to RJ, with less hidden customer fees, more flexibility on customizing your fee schedule per customer, and there is a possibility of the lead FA in the office retiring out soon with his 120m book.

Need new ways to tell my ECD that his writing is hurting the work.

Backstory: I work on a small team and do most of the writing for a few brands. My ECD green-lights copy but often times adds unnecessary fluff, cheesy lines or just nonsensical left-turns in scripts. Without being a dick, what are some ways to effectively be like "do less, please."
