Havas1 the poster in that thread seemed to have some gripe. I’ve been at Giant Spoon for awhile now (and have worked in many previous companies where exec teams weren’t proactive about growing the right way and not focused on their employees), and I can say I simply love it there. Apply, meet the people, see how they talk about GS, hopefully you can see it for yourself.
At this point it’s very much both now, whereas over a year ago it may have leaned more in brand/strat. Strong media practice grew since then.

@OP it’s a great environment in my book. People are both nice and smart. It’s definitely different than an ad agency in that both creatives and strategists are less precious about their work. They do come up with brilliant ideas though.
