Dealing with creepy customers as a female cashier? I'm pretty young and encounters with creepy men has been pretty bad lately. I have people ask where I live, where I go to school, if I have a boyfriend, they ask my age, and make lewd comments. I've always wanted to try serving, but if the comments are this bad working retail, I can't even imagine... I'm pretty shy so this attention is 100% not wanted and I'm not sure how to handle it...

What’s the best way to deal with a partner that prefers working solo? For context, this writer I work with conceptualizes by himself, emails the Account team, gives deep input, and makes decisions for us without consulting with me (his “partner”) most of the time. While I appreciate his proactiveness, I feel excluded, limited, and without much room to co-lead the work with him. I don’t know how to bring this up without sounding like I’m b*tching about it.

I have a background in finance, having been a Finance Disbursing Officer in the Army for 6 years with one deployment in that role. Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. How is everyone feeling amidst these layoffs? Hope everyone is taking care of themselves!

I work as in house counsel, and a lot of the employees are not qualified for their position and don’t understand legal/compliance even though they’ve been trained and should be competent enough to understand. I am constantly cleaning up messes and repeating myself and teaching rudimentary skills to the same people every day. Does anybody else feel like this or have advice on how to get through to those difficult people?

Hey folks, I am interested in sustainability and the entire finance aspect of it. However my exp in th area is woefully inadequate. I'm trying to read up. Currently in the finance transformation team at EY (not related at all to sustainability). And no background studies wise.

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
