For AI ML IoT and 12 yrs experience, you will easily get E3 (lead engineer).
CTC ask for 30% from current CTC or 35 LPA whichever is minimum. Negotiate for higher if you have the leverage, because once you join, its tough to increase the salary since hikes are not that great. HR has already informally told that this March hike will not be good because of market situation.
Also remember that you will not get hike this march since you’ll be joining after Oct 2023.
Also you may not eligible for ESOP in May since it’ll be late. There is a chance you may not get the success sharing as well, it depends on how late you join. There are some policies such as a person has to be in the org for atleast 3 months for eligibility. So consider all of that while deciding how much CTC to ask. You next hike will only be on 2025 April.
Everyone gets 5 lakhs joining bonus. Don’t forget to ask for that.
Relocation reimbursement is on actuals - ie whatever there in the bill. But there is an upper cap. I’m not sure about the exact number, but its good enough to relocate from any part of the country.
ESOP - if you buy airbus shares, company will give you some free shares. Eg: if you buy 30 shares, you’ll get 20 shares free.
NP buy back sounds like a possibility. Not sure. Check with HR.
Success sharing - if the company performs well, in june we’ll get 90k post tax. This is once per year and depends only on the company performance. There is no guarantee.
Variable pay is different from success sharing. Total CTC = 85% fixed + 15% Variable
Thanks Airbus 1. This information was very valuable while discussing with HR.
By any chance you can share how much % is the variable payout per year for IM dept?
I have been also told that 50% variable will be paid per month (but this not written), is it true?
HR also told, no ESOP.
Offered CTC is 40.5 LPA. I will be relocating from North along with my spouse and 2 kids (4 yr, 1 yrs). We don't like lavish life, just moderate.
Is this offer worth for Banglore city?
Anyone please? I am eagerly looking for this info.
*whichever is maximum
50% of the VP is paid in bulk in March month salary. Remaining is paid monthly (50% divided by 12)
No esop for you since you’re joining late.
You’ll be eligible next year. Also no hike for you this year.
40 LPA is good for living a great life in Bangalore. You can save a lot if you don’t spend lavishly.
But then since you are in AI ML IoT, you can try for Tech companies (FAANG) where the real cutting edge development happens. Your compensation would also be better in Tech companies rather than core companies like Airbus.
Hard to tell the CTC unless we know about the tech stack.
Ask for Lead Engineer position. Don’t accept Engineer position.
Reallocation is reimbursed
5 Lakhs joining bonus
ESOP
Success sharing (90k post tax)
There is no notice period buy back. Notice period is strictly 90 days
Hi, thanks for giving some insights.
I am into AI, ML, IoT tech stack.
What should be the grade (E1, E2, etc.) for 12 yrs? I will be into technical role.
How much reallocation is reimbursed?
And how much ESOP offered?
When I say NP buyback, I mean to say do they offer buyback amount if my current organisation ready to relieve me earlier.
What is success sharing? Is it variable pay?
