How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

I would apply! Especially if you have a relationship with some of the attorneys. Personal relationships make a big difference. They’ve already seen your work and have an idea of how capable you are.
It can’t hurt to apply, particularly if you have a good working relationship. I started at a 3 person firm, and ultimately worked my way up to office managing shareholder for a Biglaw firm, and did not go to a Tier 1 school or graduate in the top quarter. Hard work and poise go a very long way. Good luck!
I think this path is so much harder today. I’m a tier 4 grad and though doing ok, big law and I’m sure some companies wouldn’t give me the time of day, even 15 years out with some great experience
Higher than you think. Firms are hurting for laterals right now. Shoot your shot! Email those partners you worked with.
You can DM me!
You have nothing to lose by applying:) I recently lateraled to Wilson DC and happy to chat if you want!
What practice area?
Chief
Litigation. I’ve already received word that most of their DC practice is corporate, unfortunately. Seems like a great place to work though.
STEM is helpful but not necessary if you’re in corporate (or anything other than patent, really)
