What are the weirdest reasons you have heard for people being laid-off? I have heard someone getting laid off because they missed submitting their time-sheets for 3 times in a year.

Recommendations for a keyboard? I’m quite illiterate in this topic, and I ordered a random one off Amazon and it’s quite noisy, and not very ergonomic

What is your work day like as a manager? I recently made the transition from being an individual contributor to a team manager and I feel that I have time at hand that I'm not using wisely. My day includes giving directions to the team, reviewing their output, aligning plan & work with seniors and clients. In between these activities, when I have time to myself, I sometimes read up on related topics. Is there anything else I should be doing to make effective use of time?

Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. Hi i have a offer for Capgemini as Consultant and LTI as Senior Engineer. LTI is offering more package than Capgemini. Currently i had 4.8 years of Experience with Capgemini offer for 13 LPA and LTI with 14.5 LPA .What one is good to join for career progression and growth.

Who gets to decide the ctc offered to a candidate? If a candidate is being offered x3 his/her current salary then does it give their manager the licence to overutilize the candidate with insane work? The way I see it there's no real benefit for the candidate here considering the performance pressure on him/her.
