Do most companies drug test with job offers for THC? Seems a little antiquated this day and age.

I recently moved to Dubai after getting married. I am still continuing my last job but eventually I'll hv to find a new opportunity here. I am from architecture background and wud like if someone who could help me with a referral. As far as my capabilities are concerned, I hv personally loved teaching and managing projects cz I am able to connect with my team/students and get the job done. I was fairly diligent last week, billed 60h, met all my deadlines and obtained positive feedback on my work. It was a lot harder than it sounds as I’m generally either late, screw up or get bad feedback. So big win. At the same time, it drained my body and brain to the point of not being able to work at all on Tuesday and spending the day watching TV. How do you build endurance and keep going when you feel limited? Ever think you’re just not made for this profession?

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

Thoughts on going from a national firm to a smaller one with ~200 employees and $65M in revenue? I’m a first year tax manager and can get a 33% raise by going to this firm.
