Do part time corporate jobs actually exist/ has anyone done it? For background, I’ve done external audit for public companies & am now currently at a firm in internal audit and get contracted out. I would love nothing more than to work part time, but I feel Ike if I requested to be part time, it’d only be a matter of time before I get laid off. I just just want more time with my son :/

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. The thing is, I fell in love during the pandemic with a friend that I have known for 3 years. It's frustrating since I know I could continue my job from home. I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

I currently work in a Chief Internal Auditor role. I want to get a certification focused on IT audit both for knowledge, gaining credibility with my stakeholders in the IT audit space, and for when I look for a new role. I don’t have / won’t be able to get sufficient IT audit experience for the CISA designation at this stage. What designations, courses, or other options would you suggest?
