How do you know it’s time to leave a job?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Hi Fishes,
Can anyone please give a genuine insight into the frontend developer interview process for experienced candidates in Apple?
Do everyone irrespective of their experience needs to prepare for DSA? Or they just want the frontend developer to be proficient in HTML, CSS and JS just like they mention in JD. And also do they consider people from Tier 3 colleges?

Do you have experience in FP&A, treasury, accounting? Have you built a budget, forecast, or have done variance analysis? Do you have working experience in Hyperion, Anaplan, Business Objects, Chart of Accounts?
I did about 3 years in corp finance and 3 in consulting. If your goal is to be a CFO, I think your time is much better spent in corp finance than it is in consulting. Make sure you want it tho … I found the hours to be long, work not always very glamorous, and pay can be lesser until you make it to the executive levels
Is SC at D the same as M at EY?
If so, OP you should target Finance Manager jobs at bigger companies and probably Sr. Manager/Director roles at more startup companies.
I would highly encourage you to pivot into FP&A if you do want to pivot. Accounting can be learned with special projects or outside of work. At my roles, FP&A always seemed to get more executive exposure and climb the ranks faster

Probably easier to specialize in an industry and work it from there. I would use your time in consulting to see various different companies and how they operate to get a solid perspective of what works and why.
What kind of consulting do you do?
Idk any strategy or management consultant who would be qualified to be a CFO.
^ yes and no.
I started in audit and know accounting very well but much of that is now taken over by the CAO role. CFO is more financial decision making not knowing the nitty gritty technical accounting and SEC stuff like it was in the past.

FPA, Treasury, M&A, and P&L are all things I would try to get as much exposure to as possible. Consulting isn’t a bad spot to be to build that base but at some point you’re going to need to find an exit. My .02 is the first exist should be to a name brand, and use that weight to make your next move to mid size.
Easier said than done obviously but case and point is at google we had a few VPs leave to take C level roles, and have had directors leave to take VP/SVP level titles.
Also not sure it’s totally pertinent but an advanced degree, series 6/63 and CFA/CPA type certifications might be a way to boost your resume if and when that time comes.
