Most warehouse jobs have their own version of getting certified to run the equipment. One of the few places that trains and takes people with little to no experience.

No experience many times means, no bad habits to break, no " this is how we did it at my last job" BS and no confusion about goals and training. That being said, proper training is expensive, therefore some prior experience may shorten that curve. It is a battle all leaders fight, and the trainees too.

As someone who has done both the floor and warehouse, I can honestly say that warehouse is the place to be. It's especially difficult right now because the job market is bad and there are a lot of people with relevant experience looking for jobs. If you are already working in the store, I would start there. Mention to your manager that you are interested in moving to the warehouse if a job becomes available.
