Nope. A lot more hours in LATAM
MX working hrs are more than US in general, nobody leaves at 4 or 5pm, end of day is 6pm or after
It depends on the job level. For professionals/engineers is higher in LATAM, I have cousins in Mexico that are engineers/managers and work many hours, much more than me in the US. For hourly workers/self-employed people is higher in the US, hourly people seem to work so much overtime and might have multiple jobs. It’s not as common in LATAM but things are shifting and becoming more like the US
No. It really depends on the country. I'm from LATAM and had the opportunity to work in multiple countries. I would say that in the US there's a larger expectation on hours, weekend work, etc. It's like part of the business. In LATAM, in general, it is not like that, unless you work for an American company, or have a big role, or work on client service. Even in those cases, you may work more hours than in the US, but outcomes are not necessarily faster... Culture is inefficient compared to the US, imho. And as I said, it depends on the country. There are countries where people work a lot of hours (e.g., MX) but that's not the rule for other countries
