I've completed 6 years in TCS this month. Now I'm being offered an on-site opportunity in Berlin, Germany. My preference is France as my to-be spouse lives there. Not at all....I don't know about BCG but from my perspective in general as long as it's not shabby no dressing/grooming choices should even matter. What matters and what drives professionalism is the knowledge you have and way you drive your deliverables.
Don't be hesitant to exercise your preferences!.

I'm sorry, i misread. I thought OP is male.
I cringe a little when someone has hairfall and leave long strands on chair after a meeting. If not, absolutely fine to have free flowing hair. If done well, could actually look very professional!
Women have different problems altogether, would recommend doing what you like and are comfortable in. If you are in my team and we don't have a client connect you are free to do anything with your hair as long as your work ethics are strong.
