Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

OW is very FS heavy. For what it’s worth, I spoke to someone who did an internship there and apparently it was basically unavoidable.
That said, to answer your question, it depends on what is important to you.
I think OW might have a slightly stronger brand name than the others in the U.K., but L.E.K./ OC&C aren’t far off, followed by EYP.
Internationally though, OC&C is practically unknown, so if moving abroad really interests you, it’s probably not the best choice. EYP on the other hand has more international reach as it is attached to the EY brand.
Do you want a pure strategy/ DD focus (EYP/OC&C) or a bit more breadth?
And I would also consider the people- who did you get along best with?
Hopefully that helps, and congrats on all the offers!
What draws me towards EYP is the PE/CDD focus
What doesn't draw me to OW is the extreme focus on FS.
I am not really considering the other ones.
I know OW also has a PE practice (Private Capital) but not to sure how established that is.
I think we spoke over DM yesterday but just want to share a bit on this thread as well.
On the “FS heavy” fears, while FS may have been close to half our global revenues in the past, that doesn’t mean that everyone works on FS projects all the time (as evidenced by the existence of our non-FS revenues). Just looking at revenues, “non-FS” OW is still larger than LEK and OC&C.
Now it does mean that the “average” OW consultant will have done at least kne FS project, and if you don’t try to steer your career there’s a high chance you end up focusing on FS. But you can choose not to.
If you want to just do CDDs, we have a setup similar to Bain’s PEG ring fence. If you want to do aviation projects, network with the aviation partners. Etc.
Oliver Wyman - don't know them well. Certainly sector specialised but not all in FS.
EY-P - along with S&, one of the better tier 2s within the Big 4. Especially strong in education.
LEK - well-regarded for DDs and life sciences. Reputation as a sweat shop (I think standard model there is to be double staffed).
OC&C - good culture and exit opps. But half the business is retail/leisure/FMCG... a bit tough right now
How is OC&C doing rn? Like its strategy focus and culture, but a bit concerned about job security
Do you mind sharing what’s the latest entry level offers?
