Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

Hi, please help me getting 11❤ to unlock dm. Thanks!
Has anyone left PwC while they still had an outstanding Educational Support Program repayment agreement? What is the repayment process like? Am I required to pay back the amount in full the day I leave the firm or is there the ability to do a repayment agreement? I’m looking at new opportunities and would like to have my new firm take on the amount of the tuition agreement ($14,000) but don’t know how much that might limit my options.

A salary increase remains. The bonus may be a one time thing. That being said though, the bonus check is nice and is more noticeable than being salary read throughout the year.
If I had to choose, I'd pick the raise. At least it's permanent. As to whether getting a bonus instead of a raise is fair, I would just say it's better than nothing. It seems a lot of companies are pretty tight with raises, and I assume a lot of them aren't giving out bonuses instead.
I prefer it not be one or the other.
It’s hard to say. I would say I would want a bonus to take care of things that are taking me a year or more to save up for. At the same time, as the cost of everything rose, I would want to keep getting raises to try to keep my budget balanced.
OP I would much rather have a salary increase than a bonus. Bonus amounts can vary and they aren't guaratneed (neither are raises but atleast thats an increase you will have in the years going forward). However we haven't gotten either this year so its not looking good for the home team.
I’d take the bonus. Salary increases are around 3-4%. With my salary, that’s only $3,500 raise or $1.68/hour extra for those who aren’t salary. My bonus will be $22,000 this year if our numbers holds true. That would equal out to a $10.50/hr raise. Even with higher taxes I still make out better with the bonus. Plus it allows me to pay off bills so I get to keep more of my salary during the year.
