Yeah worth it. Even if you get into the same places you’ll get more scholarship money. Also it’s not like there much else to do rn so the time trade off is minimal if not zero.
Coach
Would also need to weigh the trade off though with what round you’re planning to apply and how confident you are in your story. If you’re applying R1 and retaking means sacrificing your story, then definitely not worth it. Story matters wayyy more than an extra 20 points, especially since you have 4.0 GPA. Idk, but I’m biased against the “every point counts” opinion.
FWIW, I’m a white male with a 720, I got into Kellogg but denied from HBS and GSB (I think my story wasn’t very good though)
Can I ask what your story was M1? Applying this year and really worried about this because I also don’t think mine is good enough
Targeting HBS, MIT, Columbia and Berkeley, btw
Where are you targeting? It’s still pretty low for m7 - given averages are 730+ and that includes URMs. You very well may be fine, but it could hurt your chances. Have you considered the GRE?
Why not retake? Unless you really don’t want to. 710 is good, but if you’re already thinking about this, imagine the regret later
If you get 730, see no reason why you would not be admitted to at least one of your targets

I had a similar split when I took the GMAT. I took the GRE instead and got a 166 V / 162 Q. Then I called it a day and started thinking about essays. Consider the GRE. I only studied a month after all those months of GMAT prep and I was able to get my score well up past the averages for the schools you’re applying to.
General rule of thumb is 47Q minimum. You’d have a solid score if you can do 47/42

Ehh I got a 46Q and still got into Kellogg. I don’t believe there’s any arbitrary GMAT cutoffs
