Do you still keep an eye on jobs out there, even if you are not actively looking to get a new role? I somehow feel like I'm doing wrong by my agency when I even think about it but on the other hand, I know they wouldn't bat an eye if they decide to lay me off. Do you ever apply and interview for jobs just to get a sense of what else is out there? If yes, do you have a regular schedule on how you do it? I’ve never tried this, but I’m considering it and wanted to know how others approach it.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good?
