I wish I did, but I'm to jaded to be surprised by that. There is always money leftover for executive bonuses, and never enough for the people who actually need it.

that sounds very corrupt and unfair. People should get paid what they deserve for all the hard work they put in to earn those bonuses.
Bonus isn’t a part of compensation until you move into leadership. I’d rather have the chance at some extra money than none at all.
Sounds all too familiar.
Ours were broken down by business unit performance and benchmarks.
One year ours was only 1 of the 2 units that hit all the numbers...It was then decided that everyone tried hard so they all got 100%. Punchline was delivered by the #3 in the company when addressing our bunch in a meeting telling us how generous the board was to us...Even if we didn't earn it.
Oddly enough, while the benchmarks and bonus amounts for us peasants were posted on the internal website, the benchmarks and amounts for the management bonuses were kept secret.
