Found a good looking Herman Miller Aeron, used on CL. Worth the 400 bucks? Do not have a proper office chair at the moment

Yes if it's fully decked out. Knock off $50 for any extra features it doesn't have like lumbar, adjustable arms, etc.

like

If it’s still in good condition then yes 100% worth it. Herman Miller chairs are very good quality chairs.

All I remember from a class in undergrad was the prof who said that chair was the greatest thing he have bought.

funny

*had ever bought

Provided it’s not in terrible shape that’s a a great price. Good find!

like

Super worth it. Excellent chairs. I found mine for $400 on fb marketplace and it’s been amazing

Make sure it's the right size for you. At an old job, every Aeron in the office was a size C (Large), which did not help those of us who were not quite that tall. Having to get a back pillow defeated the point.

like

Thanks friends!

The seller hasn’t respond in a bit, hopefully I hear back!

Check the size (A-C), too big or too small won’t work well for you. My wife can’t use mine though it fits me perfectly. Also, the options have different prices, so 400 is OK for a baseline config but is fantastic for a fully-loaded in great condition.

Love mine!

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.

So here are my questions.

How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.

When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.

Thanks in advance!

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position

I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

What…..

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
