Hi,
I have joined ACTI a month back in Kolkata in L9. I wanted to opt for Company Car Lease policy just to save TAX but finding it too complicated.
I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.
What do you all suggest, who have already opted for it?Accenture

I think job hopping is looking more attractive all the time. I don’t think loyalty is valued any longer. After almost 25 years I think there is longevity bias. There are no to very low increases in wages and bonuses. I have friends who after very long careers, moved companies and have been successfully moving jobs every two years. They are happy and enjoying higher pay with each job.

That’s a really valid point. It’s tough seeing others get ahead by switching jobs while loyalty doesn’t seem to pay off the same way. It’s definitely making me rethink the whole “stay and grow” mindset.
It was a different time when I started my career, the advice to stay loyal was good advice back then. Now though, totally different. I see people having to make external changes to get any kind of decent pay bump. I do still worry that it’ll be looked down on, yet if I can go to another company and make more, that isn’t doing me any harm, just stay put until I find it.

Yes, loyalty used to mean stability and rewards, but now it seems like moving around is the fastest way to grow. It’s tough finding that balance between sticking it out and knowing when it’s time to make a change.
