I feel I aged 10 years my last year in the district, before I either retired or died early there. 27 years- didn’t make it to 30 like planned. Honestly, it was the best choice ever! But yes.
In my government job where I sustained permanent PTSD, this white dude sexually harassment me and when i reported him, his best friend started on me too. I gained 20 pounds. When I got there people thought I was half my age and my boss joked I was 100 pounds soaking wet, when I left I looked 15 years older and I was 20 pounds heavier. I looked angry, fat, not myself and since then I havent been able to shed a single pound no matter what I do. Poverty means little access to healthy food. What happened to my coworkers that harassed me, they were promoted and one makes $175k a year, his best friend earns a little less.

Not so much physically but my energy has depleted for sure!
That is how I felt at my last role. I started having deep wrinkles in my forehead and dark circles under my eyes. That was when I realized my job was taking a toll.
