You’re working in one of those old mindset shops

My last job was less finance and more just account management. Working with old sales guys was not my favorite thing.
Thanks for reminding me how grateful I am to be working remote. I'd be so annoyed if I had to deal with this regularly. I guess it could still happen on Zoom calls, hasn't yet though.

Yes!! Remote working has spoiled me
Never happened to me. I’ve had non PC things said in my presence but never someone thing blatantly sexist.
That’s only an appropriate comment if you are in customer service
Pro
Even still in customer service, I just think mind your own business! Nobody knows what someone else has going on personally.
I had it happen to me a handful of times when I worked retail in college. The funny thing is, I probably could be smiling if that person weren’t in my presence.
Pro
Literally, the amount of times I would love to say something back is ridiculous. Hard to bite my tongue sometimes
Not in years, but it was a real issue when I first started (and worked in a pretty old-school office). I wanted to say something snarky everytime, but all I could do was turn and walk away or change the subject because I was worried about job security.
Pro
It hurts sometimes rising above it. Sometimes I want to be just as petty back :D

I genuinely cannot bite my tongue in these situations. I usually bite back with a sassy remark even in professional situations, and sometimes I’m burned by it. I look super young still though, so I think I get away with a lot of it though.
